  If you haven't been to Texas Cattle Company in Lakeland, FL then you're missing out! As soon as you drive up the amazing smell of their wood fired grills get you ready for the flavor explosion that is about to happen in your mouth! I enjoy the atmosphere, it is casual yet dim and nice.
  
  I suggest you start your dinner by ordering a Blue Rose of Texas, a delicious Blue Margarita that will last you all dinner long as it's huge and only $9!
  
  Their steaks have a flavor I have never tasted before anywhere else and I can truly say they cook the best steaks I've ever had. My favorite is the Texas Cowgirl T-Bone, the filet side is melt in your mouth delicious and the flavor goes all the way through the meat. Your steak includes bread, choice of side and unlimited house salad. Their salad is delicious, served with their own secret vinaigrette dressing that they will sell you a pint of to take home for only $4; this dressing is so delicious you'll definitely want to take some home. The salad comes with tomatoes, chopped green olives and Romano cheese....I like mine with no tomatoes, extra olives and extra dressing.
  
  For appetizer I suggest the Cajun Fried Mushrooms with extra Tiger Sauce. Fresh mushrooms cut in bite size pieces and lightly breaded then fried to perfection. The Tiger Sauce is Horseradish based and does perfectly with the mushrooms!

  We come here for most of my close family's birthdays because you get a free t-bone on your actual birthday. I have literally been coming to this restaurant since I was born and still love it!
  
  My husband and I went here with my mom and her boyfriend after an event in Lakeland. I had a $30 gift card Texas Cattle Company(TCC) sent because I messaged them letting them know I was traveling for work and wouldn't be able to make it for my free steak on my birthday. This $30 covers the steak meal:) this was so nice of them to do since they absolutely do not have to do that.
  
  The salad is a 10/10 one of my all time favorite salads out! My husband and I shared the cowgirl t-bone, it is $29, 18oz and comes with unlimited bread, salad and a side. We get it medium rare, here I would either suggest rare or medium rare, you NEVER have any blood just yummy tender meat. Their steaks are the best steaks I've ever had anywhere!!
  
  We also got the blue rose to share. It is a $9 tequila drink and it is HUGE, also delicious. Never come to TCC and not get one of these:)
  
  Also the fried mushrooms are some of the best you will ever get out. They cut them then fry them so each bite has just the perfect amount of breading, it is also served with this horseradish sauce that is so good you could almost drink it!
  
  One negative I would say is they serve unsalted butter with the lobster tail. They don't season the tail which is fine but you definitely need some salted butter, they could even go one step up and do some garlic infused salted butter!
  
  One last thing I'd like to add is I love the ambiance here, it is decorated ranch style, always smells like their yummy steaks and they keep it very dim and intimate :)

  Last time we ate here, my husband & I split a Tomahawk steak and were really disappointed. I'm happy to say that our most recent experience was totally redeeming! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. All the employees were, actually.
  
  But more importantly, our food was perfect. My husband got the Cowgirl T-Bone & I got the Sirloin. Both were cooked perfectly, and were really tender and juicy. I hate when I have to salt my steak at a restaurant or use sauce to give it flavor - luckily that was not the case here. The flavor was great! I had a side of mashed potatoes (they were so good) & we also got sautéed mushrooms (highly recommend! So tasty with both the steak & the mashed potatoes).
  
  I like that the meal starts with some cheesy rolls & a decent house salad. Their cocktail prices are also really low & my husbands drink was strong & tasty. Overall, great service & a quality meal. P.s. you get $26 off any steak (or a free sirloin) on your birthday! Just have your I.D... Definitely a fun little tradition for a bday meal.

  I went yesterday for my Birthday since they are closed on my actual Birthday today. Taste as usual for my Cowgirl steak was very good and cooked how I like it. Baked potato was on point and that salad I could eat a big bowl of that alone. Matt was a good server and my daughter wanted my steak instead of her chicken tenders.

  Had a great time as usual and food always on point. Thank you for this time at your restaurant. It's not difficult to imagine sitting in peace with background music and good company. Price is better than a la cart restaurant with the same beef. Dessert was awesome and big. Caramel cheesecake, oh my gosh. Forgiveness is better with good food. Forgive me for working a lot.
